Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC)

Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI), the central training institute under the state owned largest sector corporation Bangladesh Chemical Industries corporation (BCIC) is well established and equipped with latest model instruments and equipment furnished in 50 laboratories located at Polash, Narsingdi.

TICI has been providing need based hands-on technical training since 1990 to combat and confront with the day to day industrial operational challenges. Thus, it adds value not only to BCIC controlled different sophisticated & high-tech industries but also other different industries and technical organizations like related departments of public Universities as well as private Universities of Bangladesh. It ensures the need and expectations of the trainees and training program objectives. TICI training programs/courses have well acceptance and high praise in the industry market and final year Universities students of engineering & science disciplines. It contributes to industrial development and economic activities of Bangladesh providing hands on training, real time troubleshooting, technical and operational training. TICI is involved in the process of transforming human resources into human assets of Bangladesh.

It is worth nothing here that under performance management all training programs are evaluated at different levels to uphold the excellence of training programs’ outcomes and effectiveness. TICI brings changes in Knowledge, Skill and Attitude (KSA) of the trainees to precede them towards achieving there organizational goals and objectives in aligned and concerted team effort and spirit through rendering different technical training programs.

Its objective is to promote industrial productivity by developing technical knowledge, skill and efficiency of manpower working in industries and technical organizations of Bangladesh.

Our heartiest gratitude will remain to the Govt. of the Netherlands for their technical assistance in establishing this effective and successful institute.

We are also thankful to the KOICA, South Korea for their financial & technical support in Modernization and Strengthening of TICI project. KOICA has spent about 40 crore taka behind this project to develop new curriculum, latest model laboratory equipment and to construct a modern academic building.

I extend my heartiest thanks to the Executive Director, Training Director, Teachers/officers and staff members of TICI for their untiring efforts to uphold the quality of this institute. I pay my humble regards and heartfelt thanks to the Board of Directors of BCIC, Directors of TICI Governing body, officials of MOI & officials of other different Ministers and various Govt. and non-Govt. organizations for their valuable contributions and co-operations.
